Who are those discoverers? Those sport searching, traveling and storytelling people? Discover the Games is the brainchild of Walter Tempelman, a Dutch freelance journalist and writer. The company is present since 2017. From then on every year stories and items were appearing in papers, (internet)magazines, radio stations and television broadcasters. At the beginning of 2023, DtG is being upgraded, ready to discover more and more. DtG has some correspondents and expands the team with hiring (freelance) journalists, writers, editors for projects and events.
Walter Tempelman is the founder of Discover the Games. As a freelance journalist he worked as director, editor in chief, host and reporter at broadcasting media organizations like the NOS and RTV Rijnmond. His never ending search for the obscure, the lesser-known stories in sports leads him to discover the games. The stories he writes for DtG (and the pictures he takes) are being published at several national and regional Dutch newspapers, magazines and broadcasters.
